InterAct moves to Franklin Circle Church

(Plain Press, February 2007) In early January, InterReligious Partners in Action of Greater Cleveland (InterAct) moved to the third floor of the Community Building of Franklin Circle Christian Church at 1688 Fulton Road.

InterAct Cleveland is a coalition of more than sixty-five Baha'i, Christian, Hindu, Islamic, Jewish, Sikh and Unitarian Universalist congregations, faith communities, campus groups, and community organizations, including the Near West Side congregations of St. Paul's Community UCC, Urban Hope Unitarian Universalist, Franklin Circle Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).

The mission of InterReligious Partners in Action of Greater Cleveland is to be a catalyst for creating an interreligious community through which members put faith into action working for social justice through dialogue, service and advocacy.

InterAct programs include: Community Food Pantry (located at 8520 Carnegie Ave.), Advocacy Initiatives, Interreligious Worship Services, Dialogues For Religious Leaders, Homeless Stand Down (located at several sites in Cleveland), Meals Program (located in several other sites in Cleveland), Partners in Action Mentoring, Interreligious Workshop Series, and Just Neighbors.

Jean Ohlenbusch is Executive Director of InterAct Cleveland. The other staff person in this office is Sarah Sommers, Membership/Volunteer Coordinator. Other Staff, who work out of the Hunger Center office, are Willie Howard, Mary Tinker, and Barbara Williams.
