Joyful Noise receives foundation grant

(Plain Press, July 2006) More children will receive free music lessons and the use of instruments next year as a result of a $5,000 Cleveland Foundation grant received by Cleveland’s Joyful Noise Neighborhood Music School, which operates out of a church hall in the West Boulevard neighborhood. The grant will support expansion from 43 to 60 students, add four volunteer teachers, begin mini-bands and orchestras, and start a drama club. See the Plain Press Summer Youth Guide for contact information.
