(Plain Press, July 2006) The National Alliance on Mental Illness of Ohio (NAMI Ohio), the country’s largest state mental health advocacy organization, recently presented the Cuyahoga County Community Mental Health Board (CCCMHB) with the 2006 Board of the Year Award.
CCCMHB was recognized for its commitment to citizens whose lives have been impacted by mental illness. According to Terry Russell, Executive Director of NAMI Ohio, no behavioral health board in the state of Ohio has embraced the family and consumer movement more that the CCCMHB.
