Roosevelt Post and Club renovations near completion

(Plain Press, January 2006) Renovations at the Roosevelt Post and Club #58 of the Polish League of American Veterans at 2190 Professor Avenue in Tremont should be completed early this year. The building's new signage,  products of Wade Design located in Westlake, reads “ Helping Veterans since 1945.” Helping veterans is still the number one priority that Commander Terry Zacharyj places on top of the post’s agenda with the help of 600 veteran & non-veteran members that support the Club and it’s many fundraisers

Once the renovations are completed Cmdr. Zacharyj plans on joining the Tremont Art Walk, and having an open house for the public to tour. The first floor (club) will be modeled for the  the late 30’s through the early 40’s era of FDR, the Depression, andSocial Security. The second floor will focus on military pictures, history of the war and the founding of Roosevelt Post 58 back in 1945, when 36 American servicemen of Polish decent returned from World War II and decided to form a club where they can meet, have fundraisers, and help other veterans that were just coming home to the Southside of Cleveland.
