Near West Side resident named to head Cleveland Public Art

(Plain Press, August 2005) Near West Side resident Greg Peckham was named executive director of the non-profit Cleveland Public Art (CPA) this summer after a national search.

Neighborhood residents also know Peckham as head of the Randall/John/Whitman/Woodbine Block Club, where he was instrumental in working to facilitate full community information and discussion about the issue of expanding historic district protection to include Kentucky School and Garrett Morgan School of Science.

Having joined CPA in 2002 to oversee public art along the RTA Euclid Corridor transportation project, Peckham was named acting director in  September 2004. Previously, he spent five years at University Circle Incorporated (UCI) as community planner for UCI’s community development, transportation and public space planning initiatives.
