Neighborhood Tour

This neighborhood is located near the mouth of the Cuyahoga River and attracted settlers from New England, Ireland and Germany, seeking jobs at the docks, mills, foundries, distilleries and bottling works. For almost 20 years (starting in the mid 1830s) Ohio City was its own municipality, but was annexed to Cleveland in 1854. Today it is known for the diversity of its residents who represent more that 15 ethnicities.
