Welcome to Hough
Hough was settled by Oliver and Eliza Hough in 1799 and was originally incorporated into East Cleveland in 1866 before becoming part of Cleveland. The period between 1850 and 1900 was a time of development for the neighborhood. During this time. 'Millionaires Row' was established along Euclid avenue which attracted many of Cleveland wealthiest citizens. Many exclusive schools as well as Hough League Park (the home of major league baseball in the City between 1891-1946) were also established. Today, new housing can be seen along many of the streets as the result of initiatives residents have taken to develop a healthy and vibrant community.
