Home heating bills can be reduced using weatherization techniques such as insulation, weatherstripping, and repairing windows and doors. Since the early 1980's, thousands of low and moderate income families have benefitted from these cost-cutting programs, which are free for qualified residents.
LHC administers the Cleveland Non Profit Energy Conservation Fund (CNPECF), a program established to deal with the problem of increasing energy costs affecting Cuyahoga County's non-profit agencies. Through CNPECF, LHC provides grants, low interest loans and technical assistance to area agencies.
