The Ohio Tuition Trust Authority is a state agency created to help Ohio families save for higher education. The Tuition Trust offers the CollegeAdvantage 529 Savings Plan to provide families with a choice of tax-advantaged investment options. Withdrawals used for qualified high education expenses are exempt from both federal and Ohio income tax. CollegeAdvantage is the only 529 college savings program that allows Ohio residents to deduct their contributions from Ohio taxable income. Funds can be used at any eligible college in the country to pay for tuition, fees, room and board, books, and other qualified college expenses.
