Program Description

Offers 17 computer workstations, flexible training, and classroom space; public access computer terminals; private offices for individual counseling; evening and weekend hours; literature and educational materials; experienced and dedicated staff. Center's programs and services include: homeownership and financial literacy education and counseling; computer and Internet literacy training; opportunities for affordable home computer ownership and Internet access. Several courses and curricula in the areas of credit, checking, investing/saving, bankruptcy, and insurance. Also courses on homeownership including "how much home" one can afford, living as a homeowner, maintaining a home's value, financing home improvements, and lease purchasing. New offerings include Job Skills and Job Preparation, including literacy, communication skills, resume building and on-line job search.
