Mission and/or Goals

COHHIO seeks to achieve goals of strengthening communities and ensuring equal opportunity in housing. We are going to do this by providing education and outreach activities, targeted specifically at addressing barriers to fair housing choice such as mortgage lending discrimination and abusive or predatory mortgage lending practices, to traditionally underserved populations (elderly, low-income, and minority homeowners) throughout the State of Ohio. COHHIO will serve as the foundation for a comprehensive strategy to eliminate barriers to fair housing choice and to promote increased homeownership for low and moderate-income persons, persons with disabilities, the elderly, and minorities.
