"Alas poor equine. If the anticipations of Alexander Winton of the Winton Bicycle Co. will be ultimately realized, the horse will slowly but inevitable drop into oblivion.

Mr. Winton has succeeded in perfecting a horseless gasoline motor carriage which can be operated by a woman and which is barren of all the obnoxious appurtenances which have been objectionable in many of the horseless carriages in use in Europe and which have been indifferently introduced in this country..."
