Objective
1 Develop
nonpoint source pollution control plan for the Green/Marshall Lake
subwatershed. Estimate pollutant loadings and compare with reductions
needed to improve water quality in lakes. Investigate best management
practices and plans for reducing pollutant loadings. Establish goals
for long-term management of lakes. Develop process that can be applied
to other lakes in the Doan Brook watershed.

information from Objective 1 to select and implement pollution control
practices and plans to improve Green/Marshall Lakes and the Brook.
Conduct water quality
monitoring to gauge implementation effectiveness.

watershed education program (note: The Nature Center at Shaker Lakes
provides education under the grant.

Teach
4th grade proficiency course "What has Doan Brook seen?"
to all Cleveland Heights school 4th graders.

with coordinating watershed festivals, conduct thematic brook walks
and attend watershed-wide outreach events watershed-wide.

and enroll residents and lawn care professionals in lawn care certification
program (focus on Green/Marshall Lakes subwatershed).

and make recommendations for improving practices/policies to improve

assessment of Doan Brook in Shaker Heights. Identify potential restoration
sites. Plan and design restoration project.

facility at outlet of Van Aken shopping center at Shaker Hts. Country
