Why we're here...
The Covenant opened its doors in 1984, long before the "war on drugs" was
declared. As one of only a handful of urban-based treatment programs in the country,
we set out to help inner city youth become drug- and alcohol-free. Since then, we've
helped thousands of young people, from throughout Cuyahoga County recover from chemical
dependency and go on to lead healthy, productive lives.
A part of the whole...
We are a program of United Way Services, partially funded by the Alcohol and Drug
Addiction Services Board of Cuyahoga County, certified by the Ohio Department of Mental
Health, and maintains referral agreements with many other health and human service
organizations.
What we do...
The Covenant provides treatment for chemical dependency and substance abuse to
indigent adolescent (12-18 years of age) and their families. We also provide preventative
educational services to the inner-city. Through a combination of public and private
funding, we are able to offer services with no financial barriers for clients. A
sliding fee scale and deferred payment plan make treatment readily accessible to everyone.
