The
World Wide Web has a long reach, but it also can help neighborhoods by linking
residents together. This web site represents several Cleveland neighborhoods,
with hopes to include them all in the future. The goal of the project
is to improve communication within the neighborhoods, to increase links
between neighborhood organizations and to provide opportunities for contact
among those who work, live and play there.
Each neighborhood web site tries to represent all aspects of the community--including different ethnic and cultural groups, grassroots organizations, political leaders, businesses and employers, entertainment and social services. The project began with a question: "What would our neighborhood look like on the Web?" The answer is found in the individual neighborhood sites, which reflect the unique characteritics of each community. No individual site will ever be complete because "neighborhoods are works in progress."
